You do not have to be a member to audition for one of our productions although you will need to become a full member before the first rehearsal if you are cast in a production.

Auditions are usually held about three months before a production opens with a reading of the play being held at our theatre a week or so before the auditions – a good opportunity to meet the director and other members.

• The next audition is for our outdoor summer show The Merry Wives of Windsor.  Auditions will be held in the Fountain Gardens at 11am on Sunday 29 March (Mistress Ford, Mistress Page, Mistress Quickly, Falstaff, Ford, Page) and in the Mary Wallace Theatre at 7:30pm on Monday 30 March (other characters).  This follows an informal reading on Monday 23 March.  More information is available via the audition notice and audition pieces.

• All auditions unless specified are in the Mary Wallace Theatre; please arrive early for auditions to complete your registration.

Auditions are open to all.  RSS is committed to inclusive casting and providing fair and equal access to all.  Casting will not be constrained by any perceived characteristics of a role, e.g. gender or ethnicity, unless specified by the playwright or a condition of the licence.
