LEONARDO’S LAST SUPPER AND LAUGHTER (PART II)

by David Barnes
Sunday 2 to Saturday 8 June 2013
Mary Wallace Theatre

By turns funny, disquieting, farcical and shocking, these two short plays are radically different from anything else you are likely to see. Leonardo's Last Supper takes place in a charnel house where the mortal remains of the recently deceased Renaissance giant - Leonardo da Vinci, no less - are being laid to rest. Or are they? Laughter (Part II) is a farcical office comedy, where comfortable bureaucrats have their territorial rights challenged by an ambitious interloper. But this office is in 1942 Berlin, and there's something behind it all... Comedies, yes. But with a wicked sting in the tail.
