THE RAILWAY CHILDREN
by E. Nesbit adapted by Mike Kenny
Saturday 9 to Saturday 16 December 2017
Mary Wallace Theatre
If ever there was a "timeless" classic tale, this is surely it. There have been many Stage adaptations, but the one by Mike Kenny for the now famous presentation at Waterloo Station, later at Kings Cross, is the one chosen for our Christmas production. This is loosely described as the "Adult" version, but do not let this influence you, since it is basically nostalgic: all it needs, as Mr. Kenny points out, is imagination, and as Bobbie says in the very opening: "Do you remember? We were the Railway Children". Come and enjoy this charming and exquisite piece of our literary heritage.
